The Sussexes’ Moroccan Tour came as a request from Her Majesty’s Government.

A spokesperson for Kensington Palace told People magazine the main purposes for the Moroccan Tour are as follows:

“It will build on the close relationship between the U.K. and Morocco” and it will “… highlight the vital roles that girls’ education and youth empowerment are playing in, and shaping, modern Morocco.” (People, Feb. 2019)
