Thomas Markle: A Tangled Web

Many people are baffled by the behavior of Meghan’s paternal family; let’s call them the “Markles”. Many find them erratic, incoherent, insensitive, abusive and irrational. While their behavior may seem confusing on the surface, they’re simply displaying the dark human trait of EGO. Admittedly, one can only theorize their true thoughts and intentions, and in this article let’s explore the topic of EGO.

“Humans surrendering to EGO have started wars, committed crimes, committed adultery, and abused power and have taken advantage of the weak, since the beginning of time.” (D. Gelhaye, 2018)

The Markles have aligned themselves with the Media & alternate their comments between chastisement and imploration. This oscillation in messaging is a classic tactic utilized to keep the intended victim off balance. It also highlights the volatile thinking of someone driven by EGO.

“Where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there” (James 3:16).

The Media serves as a tool that enables the “Markles” to accentuate their “link” to Meghan. Essentially satisfying the “Markles” feeling of importance & thrusting them into the limelight, which are both components of EGO.

“Ego is to the true self what a flashlight is to a spotlight.” (J. Bradshaw).

Secondly, the monetization of the situation through staged photos, interviews, social media posts and the like satisfies another component of EGO- financial gain. Per public sources Thomas Markle Sr. has been paid for many interviews. For instance, he was paid more than $13,000 for his Good Morning Britain (GMB) interview on June 18, 2018, source.

Samantha Markle appearing on GMB on July 23, 2018 said:

“Let’s face it, we all have to survive. Money makes the world go round, so if you want to call that cashing in, that’s fine. But no one in media would refuse a paycheck for talking about the royals.”

The destructive nature of the human EGO is on full display in the antics of the “Markles” over the past two years.
