Even as her friends celebrated the royal mom to be, they incorporated a give back element because that is who these kind and generous self-made millionaires are at heart. They share the same values as the Duchess of Sussex.

She’s very kind. She’s very generous, and a really, really sweet person.
All of the things you think the royal family would [frown upon] and is so unexpected, they really have embraced her and I think this is great.Gayle King

The Duchess of Sussex started working at a soup kitchen on Skid Row in Los Angeles when she was 13 years old.  Giving back is part of the Duchess of Sussex’s DNA .In her own words her parents were givers, buying turkeys for the homeless at thanksgiving. They delivered meals to people in hospices as well. The friends of the Duchess Meghan know her so well so  they made sure the baby shower celebration had a give back component .

Guests to the exclusive baby shower organized by three of the former Meghan Markle’s friends tennis legend & greatest of all time Serena Williams, businesswoman and college friend of more than 20 years Genevieve Hillis ;Canadian heiress and businesswoman Jessica Mulroney. These diligent women are successful in their own right . They wanted to give the Duchess of Sussex a very special baby shower for her first child. The  baby shower that they gave her is fit for a Princess. These women who are self-made millionaires have worked hard for their money and no one should try and bully or  guilt them on how they decide to spend their money. This is the 21st century and women make their own money and decide how they will spend it.

Long time  friends of the Duchess of Sussex such as  producer and author Lindsay Roth & attorney and businesswoman Benita Litt  were also in attendance to celebrate their friend. Designer Misha Nonoo & Markus Anderson networker- in- chief as well as former costar Abigail Spencer were part of the celebrations. Her travel buddy and hometown pal Amal Clooney made the trip across the pond to celebrate baby Sussex.

I hope she won’t mind me sharing this because I’ve never seen anything like this at a baby shower,” “They brought in somebody to explain how to arrange flowers. We all each made an individual vase. Gayle King

CBS This Morning.

Shower activities included a lesson in flower arrangement. The exclusive shower of about 20 women created arrangements which were donated to Repeat Roses. Repeat Roses is an organization that takes flowers from events and turns them into bouquets for those in hospices, treatment centers, and homeless shelters.

Here are some of the recipients with the arrangements made by the very generous Duchess of Sussex and her friends.

The Duchess did not open the gifts as she wanted the Duke to experience the love that was wrapped in every gift. The mother and father to be will open the gifts together and share the special moment before they welcome their first born.
