The Association of Commonwealth Universities has published its new strategy plan titled The Road to 2030. For this occasion The Duchess of Sussex has written an introductory message.
Duchess Meghan is patron of this historical organization and on January 31st 2019 she officially visited one of their universities: City, University of London. Her visit was eagerly anticipated and she was wholeheartedly welcomed to the ACU networking event.
Established in 1913, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) is the world’s first international university network, and remains the only accredited organization representing higher education across the Commonwealth.
Her Majesty The Queen has passed on the Royal Patronage to The Duchess of Sussex having held the role for the last 45 years and has been associated with the organisation since its earliest days at the Old Vic in the 1960s.
The ACU is dedicated to building a better world through higher education, by championing the role of universities in addressing global challenges and improving people’s lives.
Her Majesty The Queen has passed on two patronages to The Duchess of Sussex –The National Theatre and The Association of Commonwealth Universities.
