Harry and Meghan are finally fighting back with legal actions and have let the public know they are unwilling to be unjustly maligned and defamed by the British tabloid media.
However, what I have observed from those with public platforms, the stiff upper lip attribute seems to be just a smokescreen! From the Royal Family, members of the Royal Rota, to Royal Vloggers, the excessive amount of whining, reacting to criticism, and push back that I have observed, makes the expression quite comical.
It was actually this move by the British female Parliamentarians to openly show support for Duchess Meghan, that prompted me to research on female politicians and specifically the ones who held the very first political positions as women in their respective countries.
We are prepared for and ignore the reporters who unashamedly show their preference for one royal, crediting one couple and omitting the couple who did the actual work, and applauding every utterance of one couple no matter how banal.
Over the years, the tabloid media have been left unchecked in how they report and this has led them to becoming so powerful, a law onto themselves.

The specific purposes of the daily and persistent vilification of Duchess Meghan appears to be twofold. First, to convince the British public that, as a woman of color, Duchess Meghan does not belong in the royal family and second, to break her spirit.
